WHEN THE CALL SEEMS SMALL
When the call seems small, I’ll pursue Him.
When the call seems small, I will wait.
When the call seems a terminal endeavor,
I’ll remember God’s Call is never late
If the call should remain small and simple
A definite call without timeline or date
I will remain faithful in God’s service
Because basking in His Presence is great.
I cannot weigh or measure God’s values.
Job descriptions contain eternity’s plans
The decisive truths that I cling to
Are that I’m His and I’m held in His hands.
What makes my Call small in whose vision?
What is developing out of focus in this?
Forgive me Father, I have failed You.
I was not looking at my Call but at his.
While my brother was noticing my Call
I was glancing over at his
Each thought the other’s was bigger
Energy wasted, Satan distracts us like this.
Help me Lord, to maintain eternity’s focus.
Keep my eyes on the Creator of my Call.
Thank you for the privilege of serving.
Thank you for using this Pilgrim at all!
